Audiophile / Master Recordings

Audiophile records are produced with a focus on superior sound quality. They are produced using careful mastering techniques, high quality materials and special pressing processes to achieve the best possible audio fidelity.

Most audiophile records are pressed on 180g or 200g vinyl. This extra weight makes the record more durable, reduces surface noise and ensures a better fit on the turntable for smoother playback.

Often the original analog master tapes or high-resolution digital files are used to capture more detail and preserve the original sound quality for a richer and warmer sound.

Some records undergo what is known as half-speed mastering, where the original recording is slowed down during mastering, allowing the engineers to capture even more sonic detail.
